My kitty died yesterday. Sneakers was 15-years-old, fat, beautiful, and a huge part of my life. A big, fluffy maine coon cat with a gentle disposition and intelligent eyes. We bonded strongly when I was a little girl and, in his old age, he became even more attached, following me around like a puppy whenever I was home. I, honestly, never thought he would die. It was more shocking to hear that he passed than if he had out-lived me. He wasn't necessarily a special cat.
